Effanbee doll might be one of the dolls with the longest history. It was, firstly, manufacture in 1912 by Bernard Fleischaker and Hugo Baum. Since the first time it was launched, the owners have put their biggest efforts to create a doll with the durable ability. They even put it on their slogan, “Effanbee Durable dolls”.

The most popular doll from effanbee doll is Patsy doll. It was, firstly, launched in 1928. This doll is in a three year old girl shape with short bobbed red hair. She wore a simple classic dress. Patsy doll was one of the first dolls which have to neck joint. This will make the doll able to take pose and stand alone. Since the first time it was launched, Patsy doll has become a big success and soon effanbee doll launched Patsy’s family member and even her boyfriend.
Since the first time Effanbee Doll was established, this company has had some turmoil. First, because the death of Hugo Baum in 1940. Then the war had put his company into a decline. Many people have taken over this company and developed new series of effanbee dolls. But, Patsy doll still becomes effanbee’s best seller.
