Mattel inc. firstly begins its business as a company which provides doll house equipment. But, in the 1959, Ruth Handler, the wife of Mattel’s owner Elliot Handler created new doll which become the most famous doll until now. She created Barbie doll which is named after her daughter. She never imagined that she has created the world’s number one doll of all time.
Mattel Barbie doll has become every girl’s favorite doll all around the world. Every girl will be attracted to its beautiful figure and how they can dress it up with unlimited fashion collection. Since the first time it was invented, Barbie has come in stylish appearance. Ruth Handler designed it with various outfits. Every girl can easily change its outfit and fit it in different occasion. The designers in Mattel Inc. always prepare new designs for annual collection. This improvements become a point plus for Barbie because people do not find it as a boring doll.
Even though it is very popular, but Barbie has several cases of lawsuits and critics on it. The most common critic is against Barbie’s body shape which is impossible to get.
