Armand Marseille Bisque Head Baby Doll

Here’s a “real size” bisque head character baby by Armand Marseille! Unfortunately she needs some help … someone skilled at a repaint. Her head has been badly broken, but had been professionally restored … except the repaint to her forehead and right cheek didn’t take very well and was flaking and blotching. So I removed the repaint, revealing the repair underneath (numerous cracks that have been filled and sanded). Believe it or not, she looks better now than she did with the blotchy, peeling repaint! I don’t have the skill to repaint her properly so I just stuck the a super-curly long wig on her to hide the forehead! No hiding the crack on her cheek, though. Anyway, she features stationary brown glass eyes with an open mouth with 2 upper teeth and felt tongue. Composition 5-piece bent limb baby body. Back of her head is marked “Germany G 327 B DRGM 259, A.13.M.” Her body has the factory hole in the back for a cryer, but the cryer is missing. She’s also been restrung and the “ball and hook” attachments for both legs and one arm are missing so whoever did the restring simply put a hole in one arm and both legs to pull the stringing through. Original finish on the body however. I figure this doll is either going to go to a restorer or someone who needs the large compo body for a head, so I’m going to start the auction pretty low for a 23″ Armand Marseille character baby on the assumption the winning bidder is probably after the body and not the whole doll!
